Job Title: Programs & Partnerships Manager 

Reports to: Director of Career Pathways 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Career Pathways, the Programs & Partnerships Manager will create, maintain, and grow partnerships with employers, trade unions, post-secondary institutions, workforce development agencies, and other organizations that lead to high-quality career opportunities. By facilitating upward mobility both within and beyond Homeboy’s non-profit and social enterprise structures, this Career Pathways Manager will provide bridges for all Homeboy clients that lead from Incarceration to Emancipation. 

Key Duties 

  • Supervise a team responsible for cultivating and maintaining relationships with employers, workforce development agencies, and training partners that lead to high-quality careers opportunities for all Homeboy clients. 

  • Manage grant-funded workforce development and training programs, including implementation, data collection and analysis, fiscal monitoring, reporting, and other compliance-related activities.  

  • Collaborate with Homeboy’s Social Enterprises and Education Team to create pathways within and beyond the organization that lead to high-quality careers.  

  • Develop and maintain existing and new career pathways by establishing and growing relationships with external partners. 

  • Create and sustain a robust portfolio of internships and lead the Workforce Development Team in successfully connecting trainees to these opportunities. 

  • Maintain an active calendar of training opportunities throughout the greater Los Angeles area and lead the Workforce Development Team in successfully connecting trainees to these opportunities. 

  • Other duties as assigned. 

Basic Qualifications include: 

  • HS Diploma/GED, AA/BA desirable 

  • 3+ years of experience in workforce development 

  • 3+ years of team management experience 

  • 3+ years of experience working with vulnerable populations 

  • Optimistic and adaptive collaborator, even in ambiguity 

  • Able to multitask under pressure 

  • Proficiency in all basic computer platforms, including word processing, presentation software, spreadsheets, client management software, and email 

  • Able to read, analyze, and interpret general business and grant documentation 

  • Able to present information in a variety of formats (narrative, statistical, oral)  

  • Able to track and analyze data 

  • Embody the mission and vision of Homeboy as a leader and colleague, with a specific focus on achieving quality jobs for all trainees

Compensation 

This is a full-time position with a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, Life AD&D, and retirement account.   $30-$33 an hour
